Aaaaannnnnd it’s finally here!
The excitement one feels as they see their dreams materialising sometimes cannot be contained, eh? You can understand why, tho, right? I mean… isn’t this awesome?!
After many, many, MANY hours spent labouring over the build, coordinating designs, researching and writing content, and prepping for “launch” PLUS throw in a generous helping of major bumps (which almost made me throw in the towel, mind you), I’m quite happy to be here now telling you folks about this project I’ve recently ventured into —
Starting new ventures — something I’ve been doing for almost a decade now — offer a particular rush that’s both thrilling and terrifying. The satisfaction you get when you reach milestone after milestone would compensate for the headaches and frustration you’d experience over poor hires, mediocre work from vendors, and navigating through a volatile economy.
Focusing on the build for this particular venture alone, I wasn’t saved from going through similar obstacles. BUT what’s great about this are the lessons learned and the reinforced wisdom: (1) Something you may have heard before but I will say it again, “You will know who your friends are,” (2) Integrity will be tested, true colours will come into light, (3) You will understand your own strength, and embrace the power you have over any situation, (4) You’ll learn how to truly forgive, and (5) as I’ve mentioned before, “Yes, the unfortunate fulfilment of a truism that despite the generosity and kindness shown to some people, self gain trumps.”
Actually, this post is my own way to mark a win. Not just because that I’m officially launching LifestyleNu, but also that I’ve come to a realisation that I’ve gotten this far and I’m still standing despite all the punches thrown in my direction. I’m simply exercising forgiveness, gratefulness, and kindness each day because that’s what I want to give back to the universe. We won’t allow anyone the power to devalue the work we’ve accomplished, or trivialise our skill-set, now will we? Remember that when you start your own venture, ok?
Now, on with the show! Here’s what the website looks like:
Visit us at LifestyleNu.com today!
(*gives herself a pat on the back* haha)
LifestyleNu is the umbrella brand for a team of Nu Skin distributors we’re currently growing. And as I shared on the brand’s blog, “LifestyleNu.com is a blog shared by a group of folks, whose driving force stems from the strength gained from life’s good humour, believing we are not done yet; choosing to keep on going.” We’re armed with a hope that we’ll be able to share with our readers what has influenced positive change in our lives and what drives us to go and live our dreams.
Yes, we’ll be talking about the products we sell but more importantly about the products we use, and the journey we are on as a Nu Skin user, first and foremost, and the doors of opportunities opened to us as a distributor.
This is the reason why I went and did the #NS30 Project, wherein I photo-documented the first 30 days with a new regimen — as I was starting to use some of Nu Skin’s products (health and anti-ageing supplements AgeLOC YSpan and LifePak, skincare, Nu Colour lip gloss and mascara, bath products, the AP24 whitening toothpaste, ReNu Hair Mask, Epoch Glacial Marine Mud, Sunright Lip Balm, and quite a few more, haha). If you know me, back when I was actively blogging at StyleManila.com, I don’t write about products that I wouldn’t recommend to my readers. And I plan to do the same as I carry on with this venture. And I’m hoping that the team we’ll build will employ the same principle as well. Yes, you can sort of expect that I’ll be sharing my thoughts on some of these products here soon, haha.
Anyway, before I go, I’m taking this opportunity to do a quick shoutout to Mike and the rest of his team over at Pixelhub for their fantastic design work. I’m loving the logo! It was a great experience working with you folks!
It’s Your Turn
