Dry

Australian Summer 2008 | Dry

It’s a typical Australian Summer day — bright and sunny, scorching dry heat. Walking across a quiet parking lot, catching the last rays of sun, I look upon this tree.

Spring means a time of bloom and it has already passed yet this tree seems like it went straight on to Fall with branches bare and dry.

Sometimes, whenever tomorrow comes, thoughts on aging terrorizes me. At this point in my life, have I skipped a season? Did I miss the train?

But there’s something about nature that makes you stop and think things over. In all seasons, you will find beauty in it. Summer is vibrant and exciting but there’s romance in the Fall.

Trivia: Photo taken in Adelaide, Australia; around 9pm, December 2008.
