Harmony, melody, and rhythm.

Notes, beats, and lyrics.

Keys, wind, and strings.

There are a number of elements that compose music but not till everything comes together will we find its true beauty. Together, they make sense.

Like how all the elements of photography come together to create a photograph. A photograph that captures you, allows you to become a part of it, makes you see and feel what the photographer had seen and captured.

The beauty of music that lasts inspire us to hold on to them.

As someone drawn to colours, I’ve always had this fascination with mixing and matching, identifying which ones will make the whole thing work and what won’t. This applies to styling, for both personal and work, and to composing photographs.

I play with light. Still not very good at it but I’m learning. I appreciate how applying light in varied amounts can change a photograph. Ambient is always preferred but experimenting on various lightning techniques have allowed me to see its advantages, too.

Exit, Angkor Wat

Knowing that there is so much to see outside my little bubble, I simply can’t stay where I am and refuse to experience what’s out there. It’s my way of celebrating God’s glorious creation. The world is one amazing artwork. All we need to do is to take that journey to see it up close. You’ll be amazed.

Journey to discover life. Journey to acquire wisdom. Journey to praise and thank the one who made it. Journey to make the rest of the world something personal. It makes you bigger than you are. At least, that’s how traveling makes me feel.

Yes, it is the journey that makes the whole experience significant.

Fascination, curiosity and the perennial need to see and remember the art in life.

Never fully understood why there’s this burning need to be creative. Discovering mediums like words and digital photography have made satisfying it easy. Writing sets my mind free and photography lets my soul breathe. It’s amazing.

If you’ve reached the point that you’d rather be behind the camera than be the subject of the photograph then you’ll know it’s the right time.

Every photo defines me. ‘Tis like leaving traces of who I am. They’ve become proofs of my existence. Photography is my way of encapsulating life in all its glory, sharing it with the rest of the world.

That’s why I’m here. That’s why this photo journal exists.

This is life the way I know it.

Life in stills and words.
