When things go in a direction wherein it sours before it even gets worse, you’d see me frantically scrambling to quickly change my environment. May it be getting on the next flight to a place where I’d see a better version of myself, or simply find some form of peace in a “neutral” space, so when I do come back to face the unpleasantness, I’d be more equipped to handle it.
However, with time and finances considered, I would reserve that for the more heavy hits. For the more regular downers, I’d simply resort to prettying up my surroundings, or organising my closet, or shoes, or books.
Then I write.
The past week has been a trying one. So instead of dwelling on how much some things suck at the moment, I decided to change my beddings to start. I’ve been meaning to do this for the past couple of weeks anyway.
Recently bought a 12-pc set, which was on sale (at Php 2,799.00 for the Queen size), at SNR. Original plan was to just buy a mattress topper since my current mattress is rock-hard firm. I swear — been blatantly complaining about this for years (this is so that my ever-practical mom would let me buy a new one) but my whinging has fallen on deaf ears. Sigh. Reason is, for my mom, it’s a bit of a waste to buy a new one if I can make do with the old one. There. Explains why I can’t seem to get around to replace it, eh?
