Capturing the movement is like defining the wind. Quick and unseen, you have to rely on instinct and senses. But nothing is impossible, that much I have learned.

Your composition will help create character to the unseen force. Just let it be your friend.

Two years have come and gone. Time like the wind will forever be unseen. But again, it’s up to you to define it.

Anika | SashaManuel.com, Life in Stills and Words

Meet Anika, a black Labrador Retriever of 15 weeks. She’s a show-type and my baby. Puppy love!

Took her out on the morning of the 30th last month. I had thought that a visit to the cemetery will do her good. I had a few errands to run with my mum, anyway. All in preparation for our traditional reunion of sorts on the night of the 31st.

Grass. There’s something about it that attracts her so. The green is a fascinating contrast to her shiny black coat. She looks so timid on the photo but, man, she can be like a hurricane! Adorable, affectionate and attention-hungry. Look at that big, floppy ears and oh-so-cute nose!

I’m glad I was able to take newer and better photos of her.

Trivia: Taken at Manila Memorial Park; October 2008.

October 2008

This lists a month’s worth of stills and words.

October 2nd – Live as a Child Would
October 11th – Dreams Un-forgotten
October 12th – Pink Sunrise
October 18th – A Case of Narcissism
October 22nd – Copycat
October 27th – Mirrored Sun

Introspection, reflection and vanity. A whole lot of time spent focused on “me”. Refreshing and awkward but thankful for having had the opportunity. There’s more to discover; more to learn. Having fun in the process makes me want to want to do it more often.

I’m walking through new doors and it’s only November!
